The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.~ Vince Lombardi
The people who come through my 4,400. sq.ft home say "wow I could never decorate like you do!" I say sure you could.... Could is the key word!
How will you ever know what you are capable of doing if you never start to try!
Your style is unique,it is true to you and represents you perfectly! Dont be scared of it,dont be ashamed of it, bring out the best of who you are and display it throughout your house...
Your home should mirror who you are... If You dont feel comfortable in your home, then it is not repressenting you very well is it?
Uniqueness is in style...
You are what you love, so EXPRESS IT and you will have EXPRESSED yourself!!!!

STAR WARS bedroom
This is the perfect room for that advid STAR WARS fan, young or old will revel in delight.
I designed this room for my 13 year old son.
We started with the paint: Dark blue to represent the "good" side of the force and dark grey to represent the "bad" side,I painted the ceiling, closets and all trim a midnight blue, hand painted white stars on the ceiling with glow in the dark stars, then using masking tape as a guide I painted silver stripes around the room and hand wrote STAR WARS in two places.
I bought a poster of the "good and dark side",had it framed and then centered it on the wall. I also bought more 3.99 posters and framed them myself for 11.99 each.
For the futuristic valance I bought 1.00 yard silver fabric from Walmart, used a piece of board, covered it with a layer of batting then the silver material I hot glued in place,my husband installed the brackets to hang it into place above the window.
I bought alot of the Star Wars masks, figurines and decor online or at garage sales.
I used fishing line to hang the spaceships from the ceiling.
I bought inexpensive black sheleves to display STAR WARS decor.
People think that its going to be too hard to create a theme room, but as you can see it is quite easy.....
You dont need to be an artist to create beauty on your own canvas(your walls)~ Cynthia

PIRATES of the CARIBBEAN decorated room design
Imagine the adventures your child will have in this room...
My 8 year old son and I found this awesome bedroom set at Costco, and thats were the inspiration for this room began...
We choose sand colored tan paint for the walls and blue for the waves, accented them with silver for effect. He wanted a treasure map,so I went online and found one that I knew I could easily paint onto the wall, then I stenciled the words.
The curtain was simple,I bought 1.00 yard muslim from Walmart, let it soak in tea for an aged look, hemed the top to slide the metal "hook" rod through, cut the sides of the curtains for a jagged torn look, and hooked a pirate toy belt to one side.
Barbosa stand up poster and wall posters I bought online and then framed them myself to save money.
On each side of the large skull I stenciled pirate sayings.
To complete the look I bought inexpensive trinkets and decor to set on the dressers.
For an adult room, change the room color to a darker shade, drape sheer fabric from your bed for a romantic look, and Wall-Ah!
